Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist (Travel/Contract)

Location: Oak Park, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Must hold IEMA and AART licenses for Radiologic Technologist (RT).
• Experience required in Cath Lab; Interventional Radiology (IR) experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Comfortable working with Siemens equipment.
• Proficiency with MacLab recording system is preferable.
• Work hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
• On-call required from 3:30 PM, approximately 7-10 days per month including every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
• Must complete labs (including drug screening) within 72 hours of signing the contract to avoid cancellation.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background check within 30 days prior to start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years.
• Government-issued photo ID required.
• E-Verify compliance required.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming fitness to work without restrictions.
• Drug testing: 9-panel test within 90 days of start, excluding marijuana; must include specific substances and levels.
• Immunizations and health screenings required:

  • TB screening (Qgold/TSPOT or PPD) with follow-up if positive
  • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer (vaccination or declination form if negative)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (valid within 10 years)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption for 2025-2026 season
• COVID-19 vaccine is not mandated but documentation is encouraged.
• Illinois Department of Public Health fingerprinting and registry required for patient-facing candidates without an Illinois state license. Fingerprinting must be done in Illinois.

Training & Competency

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required for applicable roles.
• Area-specific competency exams with minimum 80% pass rate.
• IL Mandatory Reporting Training required for all clinical patient-facing/in-person positions, valid for 3 years.

Additional Notes

• Must complete all required facility-specific forms and training prior to start.
• Candidate must provide 2 professional references within 3 years of hire (Aya Direct only).
• Employment application must include 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days.
