Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position
Location: Leominster, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Schedule:
- Week 1: Clinton Campus, Wednesday to Friday 8 AM - 6 PM; Leominster Campus Saturday 1 PM - 11 PM
- Week 2: Leominster Campus Sunday 1 PM - 11 PM; Clinton Campus Wednesday to Friday 8 AM - 6 PM
- Hours per week: 40 HPW
- Required Experience: At least 1 year in specialty (Radiology / Cardiology)
- Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
Required Certifications & Competencies
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA Only
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA Only
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA Only (if applicable)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - AHA/AAP Only (if applicable)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - Preferred for ER (if applicable)
- CHEMO (Chemotherapy) - Preferred for Oncology (if applicable)
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - May be required for L&D (if applicable)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) - If applicable
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) - May be required or completed onsite
- NIH Stroke Certification - If applicable
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam - Required for all RNs and LPNs
- Color Blind Testing (100% passing score) - Required within 1 year for Dialysis, Med Lab Tech, Phlebotomist (if applicable)
- Competency Exam - Required as applicable
Licenses & Verifications
- State License Verification (within 30 days of start)
- NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP) (within 30 days prior to start)
- Tech Cert Verification - National (within 30 days of start)
Background & Compliance Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID
- MA Statewide (iCORI) Release - Time sensitive, updated annually
- 7-year Criminal Background Check within 30 days of start (all counties lived/worked)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks if run separately
- Education Verification (3rd party verification of highest completed education)
- Transcript acceptable if education verification unperformable (diplomas not accepted)
- Sex Offender Search (for subcontractors if run separately)
- Massachusetts Nurse Aide Registry Search (for MA candidates)
- Massachusetts Statewide iCORI Clearance Attestation within 30 days prior to start
- References: 2 references within 3 years of start
- Employment Application: Must include 7 years of employment history and explanation of gaps >30 days
- Skills Checklist: Required prior to start and updated annually
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam within 12 months of start, including physician statement of fitness without restrictions
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray: Two PPDs (1 within 90 days, 1 within 1 year) or QuantiFERON/T-Spot within 90 days; Chest X-ray if positive TB
- TB Questionnaire: Required for all candidates regardless of TB results
- Immunizations or Declinations (declinations not accepted for Pediatrics, Maternity, NICU where noted):
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Hepatitis B (3 dose series or reactive titer)
- Varicella
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination or Declination (required during flu season)
- COVID-19 Vaccination (most recent) or Declination
- Drug Testing within 30 days of start (specific drug panels required)
- Declination forms required if declining vaccines (COVID, MMR, Hepatitis B, TDAP, Varicella, Flu) with some restrictions
Additional Notes
- Medication Exam required for all RNs and LPNs
- Telemetry Exam required for RNs working in telemetry units (only one attempt allowed, minimum 80% score)
- Some certifications and requirements may vary depending on specific unit or specialty area
- Compliance with all facility-specific documentation and background checks is mandatory
This position offers a structured schedule with rotating locations and requires a minimum of one year of specialty experience in Radiology or Cardiology. Candidates must meet all licensing, certification, background, and health requirements prior to start.
