Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Fayetteville, North Carolina
Position Details
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
- Facility Type: Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) and Medical-Surgical/Telemetry
- Contract Length: 13 weeks

- Guaranteed Hours: Call off policy allows 2 shifts off per 13-week assignment; all other contracted shifts guaranteed

- NIH Stroke Certification: Required and must be updated annually (for ED, Psych ED, ICUs, Step Down, Med Surg, L&D, Express Care)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam: Required annually; advanced dysrhythmia required for all RNs
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication): Required for awareness on multiple units; candidates have 3 attempts to pass with remediation required after failures
Background & Health Requirements
- Background Check: Required within 6 months of start; must include SSN trace, 7-year county residence, nationwide search, sex offender search, and international search if applicable
- Physical Exam: Required within 1 year, signed by physician, NP, or PA-C; must be updated annually
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen required within 30 days prior to start
- Immunizations & Titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within last 10 years; no declinations accepted for new hires)
- Measles (Rubeola) - titer or 2 vaccines required
- Mumps - titer or 2 vaccines required
- Rubella - titer or 2 vaccines required
- Varicella - titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B - vaccine series, positive titer, or signed declination accepted
- TB Screening: Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start; annual renewal required
- Flu Vaccination: Required year-round; medical or religious exemptions accepted with facility-specific forms; must be completed by November 10, 2025, for 2025-26 season
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Not required but accepted if available

- Locals within 50 miles are not accepted for this travel position.
- Floating between like units is required.
- Candidates must adhere to the facility’s return staff and contract limits policies.
- Extensive competency and pass/fail testing requirements with remediation protocols.

This position is ideal for experienced RNs comfortable with LTAC and Med-Surg/Telemetry settings, who can work weekends every other week, float between units, and meet comprehensive certification and health requirements. Prior travel experience is not required.
