Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• License: Permanent Massachusetts RN license required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (highest requirement)
• Specialty Experience: Must have Level 1 trauma experience
• Hours: 36 hours per week, no weekends, no on-call
• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Additional Preferred Certifications:

  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred for ER

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID
• Massachusetts Statewide (iCORI) Release (updated annually)
• 7-year Criminal Background Check within 30 days of start (annual update required)
• Education Verification (highest completed education)
• State License Verification within 30 days of start
• NURSYS Verification within 30 days prior to start
• Medication and Telemetry Competency Exams (pass with minimum 80%)
• Physical Exam within 12 months of start, including fitness to work statement
• Drug Testing within 30 days of start (specific drug panels required)
• Immunizations or Declinations (with restrictions for Pediatrics, Maternity, NICU):

  • TB testing and questionnaire
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Flu Seasonal Vaccination (required during flu season)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or declination (most recent vaccine required)

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references within 3 years
• Employment application covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Skills checklist prior to start and updated annually

Notes

• No prior travel experience explicitly required for this position
• No weekends or call shifts required
• Trauma Level 1 experience mandatory
