Job Opportunity: Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer (Travel/Contract)

Location: Roanoke, Virginia

Position Details

• Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• On Call: No call required
• Charting System: Epic (required)
• Floating: May float within the Echo Team
• Accepts First-Time Travelers: No
• Locals Accepted: No

Required Certifications

• ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty (Adult Acute Care and Outpatient settings)
• Prior travel experience NOT accepted (first-time travelers not accepted)

Clinical Skills & Procedures

• Proficient in:

  • 2-D Echo, 3-D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler
  • Imaging with Contrast Agents, M-Mode
  • Pharmacologic Stress Echo, Portable Studies
  • Right Ventricular Inflow Tract (RVIT) and Outflow Tract (RVOT) imaging
  • Routine, TEE, Treadmill Stress Echo
• Must be able to inject contrast independently
• Proficient in Pedoff Imaging, Imaging Enhancers, Sample Hepatic and Pulmonary Inflow
• Calculations: Diastology, LV Strain/LV Volume, Proximal Isovelocity Surface Area, Simpson's Rule

Important Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• I9 or attestation required
• Driver’s License/State ID required within 48 hours of signing (must meet radius criteria)
• E-Verify or attestation required
• 7-year background check required within 1 year of start (covering all locations lived/worked)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Education verification of highest earned degree required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, free from communicable diseases
• Fit test within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Drug screening (10 panel) within 30 days of start
• Required immunizations or positive titers: Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Flu vaccination documentation or declination form required during flu season
• 2 clinical references required
• Complete employment application/resume required
• Annual skills checklist update required

• No call off policy: facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

This position is ideal for experienced Echo Techs/Cardiac Sonographers with at least 2 years of clinical experience in adult acute care and outpatient settings, proficient in advanced echocardiography procedures, and who have prior travel contract experience.
