Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (Travel/Contract)

Job Description

• Position primarily outpatient Physical Therapist (PT) role.
• May occasionally cover acute care and inpatient rehab.
• Requires 1 year of acute care experience (acute care experience required; rehabilitation hospital experience preferred).
• Weekend shifts: Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
• On-call rotation every 7 weeks for coverage as needed.
• Holiday rotation: one holiday per year.
• Attire: Caribbean blue or khakis with lab coat.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care physical therapy.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• State physical therapy license required.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system required.

Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
• State License verification required prior to start (Illinois license or compact license as applicable).
• ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications may be required depending on unit (check specifics).
• Other certifications may be required based on unit assignment.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Criminal background check within 12 months of start date.
• Government-issued photo ID required.
• I9 and E-Verify documentation required.
• Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health required.
• Negative drug screen within 12 months of start required.
• TB test (PPD, Qgold, or TSPOT) within 12 months; chest x-ray within 5 years if positive PPD.
• Immunizations or proof of immunity for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Hepatitis B (or declination).
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually.
• COVID vaccination series preferred.
• OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start for fit testing (fit testing done onsite during orientation).
• Photo for badge (passport style, plain background) required.
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules and agreements prior to start.

Work Environment & Additional Information

• Work setting is primarily outpatient but includes occasional acute care and inpatient rehab coverage.
• On-call rotation every 7 weeks.
• Holiday coverage rotation (one holiday per year).
• Fit testing for respirators conducted onsite during orientation.
• Candidates must complete all required compliance modules and facility-specific documents prior to or during orientation.
