Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Greensburg, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Primarily assigned to adult Behavioral Health (BH) units
• Must be able to float to Latrobe as needed
• Must have current nursing license in hand

Required Experience

• Specialty: Registered Nurse

Licensure & Background Checks

• Must have valid state nursing license with primary source verification
• Background checks within 30 days of start including:

  • SS Trace and County searches for last 7 years
  • Nationwide and Sex Offender searches
  • Pennsylvania Statewide Patch Certificate
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprinting required (detailed process for completion and follow-up)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or Tspot) within 1 year; if past positive, negative chest x-ray within 1 year and annual TB questionnaire
• Annual TB questionnaire for past positive TB
• Immunizations or positive titers within 10 years for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
• Hepatitis B vaccine series, positive titer within 10 years, or signed declination
• Negative 15-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or documented declination during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 1)

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Completion of multiple facility-specific documents prior to start, including:

  • Orientation checklist
  • Pandemic attestation
  • Code of conduct
  • Confidentiality agreement
  • Disclosure statement
  • Job description acknowledgment
• Completion of various training and competency assessments prior to start, including:

  • Patient policy assessments (e.g., skin integrity, mobility, catheter training) with 100% quiz passing score
  • Cardiac procedure education (for Telemetry units)
  • Competency assessment forms to be brought to orientation (for Telemetry units)

Additional Notes

• Two professional references required within 3 years of start (travel, allied, per diem acute care)
• Must have government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or state ID)
• Emergency contact form required prior to start
