Job Requirements

  • Manage initial assessments
  • Complete discharge planning including sending referrals
  • Lead rounds
• Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
  • Ability to send referrals within the EPIC platform is a plus

Certifications Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit assignment; always verify unit-specific requirements

Background Checks & Compliance

• 7-year criminal background check required within 12 months prior to start; must be updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Education verification required, including foreign equivalency evaluation if applicable
• Employment application must include 7 years of work history with no gaps greater than 90 days
• Work history verification required for the last 7 years for all start dates on/after 8/2/2024

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (clean shaven required for fit testing)
• Tdap vaccination required within 10 years of start (declinations not accepted)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray documentation required (does not need annual update)
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer, vaccine series, or declination within 1 year)
  • Varicella (chickenpox)
• 10-panel drug screen required within 12 months of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (09/01 - 03/31)
• COVID vaccination series preferred

Competency & Training Requirements

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required within 12 months of start (minimum 85% score)
• Color Blind Testing required for all candidates on/after 8/2/2024 (minimum 80% score)
• Additional competency exams may be required depending on unit assignment
