Travel RN - Labor and Delivery

Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Specialty: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
Shift: Night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), rotating weekends
Call Requirement: No call
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Unit Beds: 32
Staff on Unit: Approximately 150
Typical Procedures: SVD, cerclages, C-Sections, TOLAC
EMR System: Meditech
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs; no t-shirts, only solid blue/black/grey sweatshirts allowed

Required Certifications and Licenses

ACLS
AWHONN
BLS
NRP
Registered Nurse License

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 years nursing experience in Labor and Delivery (higher value between stated 1 and 2 years)
Preferred: Experience in a Level IV (high volume) unit
Preferred: Previous HCA assignments/employment
Competencies required: EFM, ACLS, BLS, NRP, SVE competency, C-Section circulation
Preferred: Internal monitor placement competency

Unit Culture and Environment

Team-oriented with a positive attitude preferred
Stable and intermediate fetal monitoring equipment used (Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, US)
Permanent positions available on the unit

Additional Information

No prior travel experience required
Competitive and supportive work environment with new equipment and technology
Adherence to attendance policy expected

This position is ideal for experienced Labor and Delivery RNs seeking a 13-week travel assignment on a busy, well-equipped unit with supportive staff and no call requirements.
