Job Opportunity: Inpatient Rehab Therapy (Occupational Therapy)

Location: Jerome, Idaho

Position Details

• Specialty: Occupational Therapy - Inpatient Rehab
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Setting: Acute Inpatient and Swing Bed; may float to another medical center when census is low
• Patient Load: 8 to 10 patients per day
• Common Diagnoses:

  • Orthopedic total joints
  • Neurological (strokes, occasional brain injuries, no TBI)
  • Medical and General ICU patients

Requirements

• Licensure & Certification:

  • Must have BLS Certification
  • No additional certifications required for OT
• Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year licensed experience in acute inpatient or rehab settings
  • First-time travelers are welcome (prior travel experience NOT required)
• EMR System: EPIC

Work Schedule & Orientation

• Shifts: 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each (08:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
• Scheduling: No self-scheduling; must work Monday through Friday to accommodate orientation
• Orientation: 2-3 days unit/department specific orientation
• Holiday Coverage: May be required to cover holidays
• Dress Code: Scrubs permitted, but color must not match other departments (color options provided upon hire)

Additional Information

• Rehab aides or COTAs are not staffed on this unit
• OT Manager is present on each shift
• Facility enforces a 50-mile radius rule for candidates’ permanent address

This position offers a longer contract option if desired.
