Job Details

- Indiana RN Restriction (Effective 11/30/24): Indiana RNs are generally not allowed to work at these facilities after this date, except for Perioperative/OR RNs, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers (including ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS).
Experience Requirements
- No explicit years of specialty experience stated; assume standard RN qualifications.
- No prior travel experience required.
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA only, RQI acceptable
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA only, RQI acceptable
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA only, RQI acceptable
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – AHA only
- Other certifications as applicable per unit: CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification, Tech Cert Verification (as required)
Required Documents & Verifications
- Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy)
- Background Check (within 90 days of start) including:
- 7 years residence/work history
- SSN Trace
- County Criminal, Statewide, National Sex Offender, FACIS Level III
- Education Verification
- International search if applicable
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (within 30 days of start)
- Transcript or Diploma (official, clear copy)
- Education Verification (third party, may be pending at start)
- State License Verification (within 30 days of start, primary source)
- Physical Exam (within 12 months of start)
- Fit Mask Test (within 12 months of start) with approved respirators
- Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen (within 12 months of start)
- Immunizations and Titers:
- COVID-19 vaccine (required)
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (preferred but not required)
- Tuberculosis test (PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT within 1 year)
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella – Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or signed declination required
- Drug Testing: Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen (Amphetamines, Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates, PCP)
- Color Blind Testing (Ishihara exam or equivalent, 100% minimum score)
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
- Unit Competency Exam
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Completion of facility-specific forms and packets (Look of Assurance, Compliance Checklist, Confidentiality Agreement, Policy Information, Self Study Orientation & Test, Fast Track Slide Packet and Signature Forms)
- References: Minimum 2 references from recent employment verified within 2 years; references must be from charge, manager, supervisor, or above.
- Employment Application: Current with full work history; gaps of 30+ days must be explained.
- Skills Checklist: Required within 12 months of start and annually.
- TB Questionnaire: Required and must be updated annually.
This position requires compliance with strict immunization and documentation policies, including mandatory COVID-19 vaccination and flu vaccination or approved exemptions. Prior travel experience is not required, and first-time travelers are welcome. The contract length is approximately 13 weeks with 12-hour shift options.
