Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position
Location: Dayton, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift Details
- Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 11:00 PM - 8:30 AM
- Shift Type: 4 shifts per week, 9 hours each (4x9, total 36 hours)
- Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Allied Health with a major in Radiologic Technology
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) through AHA
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- ODH certification
- Operating Room (OR) experience is required
- Must be fitted for N95 respirator before working on the High-Risk Respiratory Unit (HRRU) unless PAPR is provided/needed
- Prior travel experience is preferred (not strictly required)
Job Responsibilities & Skills
- Independently perform diagnostic radiographic procedures using proper techniques and contrast media administration
- Work within scope of practice and licensure for medication administration, equipment operation, and venipuncture
- Coordinate patient flow and activities within the Radiology Department
- Maintain equipment in good working condition
- May perform procedures in other imaging modalities as needed
- May have on-call responsibilities
- Must have OR experience
Floating Requirements
- Traveler will be the first to float at Premier's discretion
- Floating assignments may include:
- Main campus (Dayton)
- South campus (Centerville) - less than 10 miles from main campus
- North campus (Englewood) - less than 15 miles from main campus
- Floating assignments will be medically appropriate and may include support for nursing care teams, including high-risk respiratory/COVID units
Contract Terms
- Employer reserves the right to cancel up to 2 shifts due to low census during the 13-week contract
- Employer may cancel the agreement with 2 weeks' notice without fee or penalty
- Travelers are not eligible for employer employee incentives
Required Documentation & Compliance
- I-9 and E-Verify completed on designated forms
- Government-issued photo ID required
- 7-year criminal background check within 12 months prior to start
- Education verification (Primary Source Verified)
- Ohio licensure verification (Primary Source)
- Drug screening: Negative 9 or 10 panel drug screen within 12 months prior to start, including marijuana panel
- Physical exam within 2 years, indicating fitness to work and free of communicable diseases
- Immunizations or proof of immunity for:
- TB (negative test or chest x-ray if past positive)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (titer or vaccination)
- Hepatitis B (vaccination series, immune titer, or declination)
- Varicella (titer or vaccination)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
- Respiratory Safety Clearance within 1 year of start, renewed annually
- Background checks including EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG
- References: 2 professional references within 2 years (1 must be manager/supervisor/charge RN) or employment verification if references unavailable
- Skills checklist updated within 1 year prior to start
- Competency exams as required (medication/pharmacology, unit-specific, dysrhythmia/EKG)
- Medical questionnaire for respiratory protection must be completed and submitted prior to orientation
Certifications (as applicable)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - required for RNs except Labor & Delivery
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - required for Emergency Department, PACU, and certain inpatient trauma units
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - required for Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum, Nursery, Neonatal units
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - required for Emergency Department
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) - required for Labor & Delivery
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) - required for Emergency Department staff
Additional Notes
- No shift trade or release (RTO) requests will be accepted after offer; approval is at manager’s discretion
- Traveler must confirm awareness of 4x9 shift schedule before submission
- Fingerprinting required only for specific units (NICU, Pediatrics, Home Care, Hospice, Pharmacy Techs, pain management clinics)
- Floating assignments may require travel between campuses within a 15-mile radius
