ER RN Job Opportunity - New Hampshire (Colebrook)

Assignment Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Schedule: Blocked schedule; every 3rd weekend (may be more often as needed); holiday rotation with permanent staff
• Floating: Yes, within the facility if needed
• Preceptor: 1 shift with a preceptor

Facility & Work Environment

• Small ER with 7 beds and 1 trauma room
• Telemetry/ED available
• Psych/exclusion rooms present
• Approximately 4,000 patients per year
• Only 1 nurse staffed in the ER at a time (potential 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio)
• No charge nurse on shift
• ER tech available during the day; no tech on nights
• No security/sitters; panic button and responsive police department available
• EMR systems: T-system, CPSI
• Mindray monitors used; nurses must be able to read and interpret EKGs
• Ventilator: Newport HT70
• ER MD coverage 24/7; hospitalist on call at night
• Lab draws may be required if lab is unavailable
• No IV team; strong IV skills preferred as nurses perform IVs; PICC lines placed by provider during the day
• Respiratory therapy not available; nurses perform all treatments
• Pharmacist available until 3 PM; telepharmacy on call; nurses may need to mix meds after hours

Certifications & Experience

• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Preferred Certifications: TNCC, ENPC
• Strong teamwork and flexibility required; willingness to adjust schedule and work as needed
• Ability to work independently and handle a variety of diagnoses
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Additional Notes

• Any color scrubs acceptable as long as professional
• Candidates should be available for follow-up interviews during specified time frames

Summary:
This is a 13-week ER RN travel assignment in a small hospital ER in North Central New Hampshire. The role requires strong critical care skills, certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS, and prefers trauma and pediatric emergency certifications. The nurse will work primarily night shifts with a high degree of autonomy and must be flexible and team-oriented.
