Job Description

• Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
• Hours: 36 hours per week, every other weekend
• Responsibilities include floating to adult units based on census
• Patient population: Neonatal and Pediatric respiratory care
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP

Required Experience

• Current Respiratory Therapist license valid in Illinois (license verification must be dated within 30 days of start)

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Fit Test
• Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen (includes cocaine, amphetamines, opiates, PCP, benzodiazepines, methadone, and others; no THC)
• COVID-19 Vaccine (booster required by Sept 2025; declination not accepted in Illinois)
• Influenza Vaccine (required for 10/1/2024 - 4/30/2025 season; declination not accepted in Illinois)
• MMR (proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer)
• Hepatitis B vaccination series (proof of at least first vaccination prior to start)
• Varicella (proof of vaccination or IgG titer)
• 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with chest x-ray if positive TB
• Physical/Health Statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year)

Additional Professional Requirements

• Completion of various Trinity Health forms including Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, Conflict of Interest Disclosure, Integrity and Audit Services Form, and System Access Form
• Criminal Background Check (federal, nationwide, county for last 7 years)
• Education Verification (highest academic degree or equivalent)
• EPLS and OIG Exclusion checks
• Joint Commission CORE Exam within the last year
• NSO (National Sex Offender) check within 30 days of start
• Skills Checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors

Summary

This is a 13-week long-term assignment for a Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Therapist working night shifts with some floating to adult units. Candidates must hold current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications, have a valid Illinois Respiratory Therapist license, and meet comprehensive health and compliance requirements.
