Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics - Travel/Contract

Location: San Angelo, Texas
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Start Date: Preferred 1/26; may consider 2/9

Qualifications & Experience

• CRT or RRT accepted
• No explicit years of experience stated; assume minimum 2 years (typical for specialty unless otherwise specified)

Work Schedule

• Facility prefers 48 hours/week but may consider 36 hours/week

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): AHA or ARC accepted
• BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or ARC accepted
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): AHA or ARC accepted; ICU RNs have 1 year to obtain for longer assignments
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure): Required as applicable
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course): Required for ER; ICU RNs have 1 year to obtain for longer assignments
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring): Required as applicable
• NIH Stroke Certification: Required for ICU and PCU as applicable
• Tech Cert Verification - National: Required within 30 days of start
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement: Required, update annually
• ENPC: Required as applicable
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication): Required during orientation
• State License Verification: Required within 30 days of start
• NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP): Required within 30 days of start

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 30 days of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Education verification required; diploma may be accepted temporarily if verification pending
• Legal name must match on all documentation (license, social security card, certifications)
• Pass/fail competency exams required as applicable

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start; must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
• Fit test within 6 months prior to start; annual updates required
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; TB questionnaire required annually
• Vaccinations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or series with declination form)
  • Varicella
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Drug testing required within 30 days; must include standard drug panel
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination form required during flu season (10/31-3/31)
• Initial COVID vaccine series required; boosters not required

Facility Specific Requirements

• Clear, passport-style photo for badge
• Completion of various facility-specific forms prior to start, including:

  • Non-Employee Information Form
  • Vaccine Exemption Form (if applicable)
  • Applicant Health Record Form
  • Code of Conduct and Compliance Form
  • Compact-Temporary License Declaration of Residency Form
  • Confidentiality Statement Form
  • Information System Security Agreement Form
  • Non-Employee Orientation Update Form
  • Traveler Orientation
  • Hepatitis B Declination (if no positive titer on file)

References & Documentation

• Two references required within 3 years of start
• Copy of resume/application required
