Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Midland, Michigan

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Independently or in consultation with a physician, administer medications and perform therapeutic modalities and diagnostic testing for the cardio-pulmonary system.
- Respond to arrest and emergency situations, providing CPR and life support.
- Perform respiratory care to evaluate and treat protocol evaluations (25% of duties).
- Deliver medications via aerosol and metered dose inhalers (25% of duties).
- Respond immediately to Rapid Responses, arrest, or STAT situations, maintaining artificial airways, respiration, and cardiac compressions (25% of duties).
- Set up and maintain all oxygen according to protocol.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) experience required.
- Previous travel work experience preferred (not required).
Certifications (Must be current and active)
- American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support)
- American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- American Heart Association PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- RRT Certification through The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Licensure
- Active Michigan Respiratory Therapist License (LARA must state active status)
Additional Requirements
- Skills checklist current to within 1 year, pertinent to respiratory therapy.
- Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (local candidates will not be considered).
Facility Information
- Located on a 225-acre wooded campus in Midland, Michigan.
- 324-bed medical center offering a broad range of primary and specialty care services.
- Provides 24-hour emergency care and Level II trauma care.
- Uses Epic EMR system.
Summary
This is a temporary Respiratory Therapist position requiring at least 2 years of RRT experience and multiple active certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC RRT certification. Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must hold an active Michigan license and live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility. The contract length is approximately 13 weeks.
