Job Description

• Perform a variety of medical imaging exams for patients of all ages.
• Apply principles, theories, and techniques of the relevant imaging modality to provide reliable test results.
• Provide daily leadership of patient and department workflow.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Proficient in using personal computers and relevant software programs.
• Ability to operate applicable office equipment.
• Effective interpersonal skills for interdepartmental and public interaction.
• Maintain confidentiality and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Consistent and punctual attendance.

Education, Certifications, and Licenses

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in the relevant modality.
• Current Oregon license or recent graduate with a valid temporary Oregon permit prior to ARRT registry; registry must be obtained within one year.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Image Wisely and Image Gently pledge certificates (must be obtained within 30 days of hire and renewed annually).
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Relevant Modalities Include:

• Radiologic Technology
• Mammography
• CT Technology
• MRI Technology

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years previous experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• New graduates and candidates with less experience will be considered.
