Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology - North Kansas City, Missouri

Position Details

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required (defaulted to higher value if discrepancies found)
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required; first-time travelers may be considered but skills will be reviewed

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience with CERNER electronic health record system (required, no exceptions)
• Level 2 Trauma experience (required, no exceptions)
• Skills in pretreatment and treatment of patients with:

  • Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
  • Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
  • Kidney Cancer
  • Leukemia
  • Pancreatic Cancer
  • Pediatric Cancer
  • Testicular Cancer
• Experience with Record & Verify Systems (Varis-Vision, ARIA)
• Experience with Treatment Units (ARIA and Varian Trilogy)
• Knowledge of Isolation Precautions and Radiation Safety
• Use of Rapid Response/Code teams preferred

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ARRT (R) (T)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as applicable
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) for ED/ER & Pediatrics (ENPC accepted in lieu of PALS)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) for ED/ER and ICU candidates (ACTN acceptable alternative)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) required starting 1/1/2026 (in-person course)
• NIH Stroke Certification for relevant units (MS, Tele, ICU, ER)
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for Telemetry, PCU, Critical Care, and ER RNs during orientation (minimum 80% score)
• Safe Medication Administration Agreement (required for all RN candidates)

Competencies & Training

• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (Dysrhythmia Advanced Course required for MS/Tele, Tele, ER, ICU)
• Proof of OSHA, HIPAA & Joint Commission annual training (Core Parts I, II, III)
• Completion of required CEUs based on unit assignment (stroke, trauma, cardiac CEUs)
• HealthStream modules completed during orientation period

Background & Screening Requirements

• Criminal Background Check within 30 days of start covering all states/counties lived/worked in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and OIG checks required
• State-specific MO EDL Search prior to start with digital signature verification
• Drug Testing: 10 Panel Drug Screen within 3 months of start (instant tests NOT accepted)
• Physical Exam within 1 year of start
• Fit Mask testing onsite (must pass; no facial hair allowed)
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray within 1 year of start (2-step PPD, QGold, or TSPOT accepted)
• Immunizations/vaccinations required:

  • Flu shot (required; medical/religious exemptions accepted with approved forms)
  • COVID vaccination or approved waiver form
  • MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if low titer)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer with booster if low titer)
  • Hepatitis B (required by agency, not client)
• Radiation Badge required for CT Techs & X-Ray Techs (candidates must supply their own)

Facility Policies & Additional Requirements

• Adherence to facility dress code and artificial/natural nail policies
• Completion of Safe Medication Administration Agreement (failure to comply may result in contract termination)
• Skills Checklist required; MS skills accepted for Rehab placements
• 2 recent references and candidate application/resume required
