Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Floating required within 7 hospitals based on needs (within skillset)
• Patient ratio: 1:4
• Charting system: Epic
• Schedule: Every Other Week (EOW) / Every Other Holiday (EOH)
• No call required
• First-time travelers accepted but not preferred

Experience & Certification Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
• Adult and Pediatric experience required
• Certifications required (must be current and valid at contract start):

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Must pass a Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing the contract (only 2 attempts allowed; must be taken on a PC, not iOS devices)
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Testing & Competencies

• Dysrhythmia competency test mandatory for contract continuation
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Color Blind Testing within 1 year of start
• Other competency exams as applicable to specialty

Documentation & Compliance Requirements

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• E-Verify documentation
• Background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• State nursing license verification (NURSYS verification required)
• Physical exam within last 12 months
• Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation (required before first shift)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with specific requirements for positive responders)
• Annual TB questionnaire
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer or declination)
  • Varicella
• Drug testing: 10 panel drug screen without THC panel within 6 months, updated annually
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required by October 31
• Eye exam with visual acuity 20/40 or better
• Latex questionnaire

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references within the last 2 years
• Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
• Work history verification for New Jersey candidates (minimum 1 year prior to start date verified, allowing 30-day gaps or less)

Important Notes

• Return to Office (RTO) documentation due at time of submission; no RTO within first week of start date
• Failure to complete Dysrhythmia test or failing twice results in contract cancellation and denial of rehire
• Floating required within multiple hospital locations within the system
• Badge photo required by Wednesday noon EST before start date
• Home Health candidates require personal or auto insurance and car registration documentation

This position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses with adult and pediatric skills, current certifications, and the ability to work in a floating capacity across multiple hospital sites.
