Position Details

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed

Facility & Unit Information

• 24-bed unit (Floor 5A)
• Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
• Patient population: All ages
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Meditech
• Trauma Level: Not applicable

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in Virginia
• Certifications: BLS, Healthcare Worker Certification (HWC) available on-site, NIH certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing (preferred 2+ years)
• Must consent to random drug screening and complete a criminal questionnaire/consent form

Experience & Skills

• Required: At least 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Preferred: 2+ years Medical-Surgical experience
• Professional demeanor and fit

Additional Information

• Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Tuesdays
• Dress code: Scrubs of any color; no casual wear allowed
• Float requirements: As needed
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
