Position Details

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Experience and Certifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2+ years in Medical-Surgical nursing
• Required Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • HWC (available on-site)
  • NIH certification
• Licensure: Must have RN license valid in Virginia

Additional Requirements

• Must consent to random drug screening and complete a criminal questionnaire/consent form
• Professional dress code (scrubs of any color; no casual wear)

Work Environment

• Facility is a 250-bed academic community hospital with comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour ED, home health & hospice, advanced wound healing, cardiac rehab, cath labs, and oncology services
• Orientation occurs bi-weekly on Tuesdays
• Float requirements as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of Medical-Surgical experience preferred
• Professional demeanor and fit
