Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• CHEMO (Chemotherapy)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)

Required Background and Compliance Checks

• 7 Year Background Check (updated annually)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM Check (within 30 days of start)
• HHS/OIG Check (within 30 days of start)
• Education Verification (highest level)
• State-specific checks for Texas (DADS Employability Status and Employee Misconduct Registry within 30 days of start)
• NURSYS Verification (within 30 days of start)

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam (within 1 year, must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
• Fit Mask (3M 1860 Regular or 1860S, updated annually)
• Immunizations and Titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray or equivalent testing (within 1 year)
  • Rubeola (Measles) - Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
  • Mumps - Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
  • Rubella - Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
  • Hepatitis B - Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
  • Varicella - Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccine (required during flu season; exemptions accepted)
• Drug Testing:

  • Negative 10-panel drug screen with THC within 10 business days prior to start (no pending results allowed)
  • Facility conducts additional drug screen upon arrival (positive results lead to cancellation)

Competency and Testing

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
• Color Blind Testing (online acceptable)
• Pass/Fail Testing for Telemetry RNs (2 attempts allowed, no study materials provided)

Orientation and Facility Specific Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules (~3-4 hours)
• Review and sign various facility-specific acknowledgments and agreements prior to start (e.g., vaccination info, confidentiality, compliance, background check authorization)
• Parking available for orientation and employment (no fee)

References and Documentation

• 2 professional references within 3 years required
• Copy of resume/application required
• Skills checklist updated annually

This position requires flexibility to float between campuses or floors and adherence to strict compliance, health, and safety standards. It is suitable for RNs with at least 3 years of experience, including first-time travelers.
