Job Opportunity: Cardiopulmonary Technologist (Sleep Lab)
Location: Estes Park, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Summary
Provide care for patients undergoing sleep studies and sleep disorder treatment in a sleep lab setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment for patient sleep studies.
- Interview patients to assess sleep issues and explain testing procedures.
- Perform ordered and additional sleep tests as needed.
- Educate patients on test results, sleep disorders, and available community resources.
- Prepare, calibrate, repair, and maintain sleep study equipment; report needed repairs.
- Score, interpret, and report sleep study results.
- Document and report any unusual patient responses to treatment or testing.
- Follow all department policies and procedures consistently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in the specialty.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Certifications:
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Additional Credentials:
- Current license or multistate license (source verified).
- Immunization records including immunity to Rubella, Rubeola, Mumps, Varicella-Zoster, Hepatitis B, and Tetanus.
- TB test within the last year (QuantiFERON test only).
- Influenza vaccination required during flu season (Sept 1 - March 31).
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within the last 30 days.
- Criminal background check including OIG and Colorado CAPS check within the last 30 days.
- Proof of OSHA and other required regulatory training.
- Resume and documented references.
- Skills/competency assessment.
