Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Roanoke, Virginia
Specialty: Registered Nurse (PCU)
Contract Length: 26 weeks (flexible, can request 14-26 weeks)
Shift: 3x12 hour nights (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)

Job Details
- Unit assignment determined by facility need after clinical evaluation
- Current patient ratio: 1:5 (goal is 1:4)
- Floating expected as needed within acuity
- EPIC experience required
Required Certifications
- ACLS (AHA)
- BLS (AHA)
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit (PALS, NRP, TNCC, CPI, etc.)
Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (PCU)
- Years of experience: Not explicitly stated, assume standard RN experience for PCU (minimum 1-2 years recommended)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- I9 or attestation
- Driver’s License/State ID (must be within 100 miles of facility)

- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- Education verification and transcript/diploma required
- State license primary source verification within 30 days of start

- Fit test within 1 year, updated annually
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel within 30 days of start
- Immunizations or titers for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Flu vaccination or declination form during flu season
- Photo for badge (professional, plain background)
- Completion of new hire paperwork and compliance checklists
- References: 2 clinical references required
- Employment application/resume required
- Skills checklist updated annually
Additional Notes
- VA State Police Search completed onsite first day for certain candidates (home health, hospice)
- Orientation manual review required prior to start (not required for inpatient RNs)
- Floating and flexibility in unit assignment expected
- Must comply with all facility-specific compliance and safety protocols
