Cath Lab Technician - Kansas City, Missouri
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Requirements
Certifications & Licenses:
- ARRT-R certification and state license as required
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) OR Registered Electrophysiology Specialist required
- BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and must be maintained current
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 30 days of hire
- Certification required (specific to specialty)
Experience:
- Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab preferred
- Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) experience preferred
- Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
Skills:
- Proficient computer skills
Required Credentials for Onboarding
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
- Professional license verification (primary source verification within 30 days of start)
- Education verification (diploma or transcripts accepted if third-party verification unavailable)
- Valid Driver's License, State ID, or Passport
- Drug screening (minimum 10-panel test including THC, within 60 days of start)
- Color-blind test (annual)
- Agency attestation and exclusion list (SAM/EPLS) checks
- Updated resume reflecting recent work history (required at offer acceptance)
- Two professional references (one must be from a manager or direct supervisor)
- COVID-19 vaccine and booster or declination (optional)
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Tdap
- TB test within one year of start date
- Annual respirator fit test (must be completed prior to start if not available onsite)
- Physical/health statement annually (must state clear to work)
- National criminal background check within one year of start date
- Employment eligibility verification (Form I-9 or agency attestation)
- Specialty exam with a minimum score of 80%
- Signed job description
- Workplace violence prevention training (DCI/BVP)
- Elder abuse registry check (EDL) as required by Missouri state law
