Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (RN PACU)
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 50% day/night rotation with up to 2 weekend shifts per month
• Experience Required:

  • Minimum 3+ years as an RN
  • Minimum 1+ year of Travel PACU experience
  • Minimum 1+ year of experience in an Academic Medical Center
• Prior Travel Experience: Required (at least 1 year travel PACU experience)

Required Certifications and Licenses

• BLS Certification: Required for onboarding (AHA preferred; Red Cross accepted)
• Professional Nursing License: Primary source verification required within 30 days of start; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted
• Fit Test: N95 respirator fit test within 365 days of start, updated annually
• MMR Vaccination or Immunity: Documentation required
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions allowed
• TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or blood test within 3 months of start, updated if >6 month break
• Health Statement: Physician statement within 365 days of start, updated if >6 month break
• Criminal Background Checks: Including Massachusetts CORI, national sex offender check, and exclusion checks within 30-45 days prior to start and updated as required
• Resume: Must include past 7 years of work experience with city and state
• References: Two recent references required, at least one supervisor or above in the skillset
• Skills Checklist: Required for submission

Additional Preferred/Optional Requirements

• Hepatitis B Vaccination or Immunity: Strongly preferred
• Tdap Vaccination: Preferred if within 10 years
• Positive PPD with Negative Chest X-Ray: Required if applicable
• Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation: Required if fit test is required
