Job Details

• Shifts between 6:00 AM – 11:30 PM
• 36 hours per week
• 50% day/evening rotation
• Up to 2 weekend shifts per month

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years RN experience
• Minimum 1+ year travel PACU experience (prior travel experience required)
• Minimum 1+ year experience in an Academic Medical Center

Required Certifications and Licenses

• BLS (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted; AHA preferred)
• Professional nursing license with primary source verification (NURSYS and Board of Nursing required)
• MA Conditional Licenses NOT accepted

Health and Safety Requirements

• N95 Fit Test within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no religious exemptions)
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 – April 30), no exemptions
• TB test (skin test or blood test) within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break
• MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
• Hepatitis B vaccination strongly preferred (or proof of immunity or declination)
• Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
• Respirator Medical Clearance Attestation (if fit test required)

Background and Professional Checks

• Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
• Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break
• Social Security Number trace with criminal check
• National sex offender registry check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Education verification of highest degree achieved
• Resume including past 7 years of work experience (city & state required)
• Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above in skillset)
• Skills checklist required for submission
• Candidate submission coversheet required for submission

Summary

This is a 13-week long-term assignment for an RN PACU position requiring a minimum of 3 years RN experience, including at least 1 year of travel PACU experience and 1 year in an academic medical center setting. The role involves day and evening shifts with weekend coverage. Comprehensive credentialing, health, and background checks are mandatory prior to onboarding. Prior travel experience is explicitly required.
