Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Travel Position

Location: Chandler, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Employment Type: Travel

Facility Overview

60-bed inpatient medical rehabilitation hospital
Patient population: Adults
Patient Ratios: PT/OT staff oversee about 9 patients each
Equipment used: In-motion, Synaptic, EKSO, and VR
Electronic Health Records (EHR): UDS and Cerner

Position Details

Specialty: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Number of Openings: 1
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: 8 hours (one weekend shift required per month, Saturday or Sunday)
Float Requirements: Ability to float to a nearby location (15 minutes away) if needed due to census

Requirements

Years of Experience: 2-3 years in PTA specialty (higher value applied)
Must Have Skills/Experience: Adult patient care in SNF (Skilled Nursing Facility), IRF (Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility), or Acute settings

First Day Instructions:
- Scrub Color: Maroon
- Report Time: Typically 7:00 AM for OT staff, 8:00 AM for PT staff
- Upon Arrival: Ask for the therapy team; front desk will contact gym staff to meet you
Parking: Various options available near the building
