Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Position Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Cath Lab Tech)
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty
• First-timers Accepted: Yes
• Shift: 4x10 hour shifts (07:00 - 17:30)
• Weekend Requirement: As needed
• On Call: Currently no call; potential reinstatement in 2026
• Floating: Yes, may float to outpatient cath lab for procedures
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week (facility may call off up to 6 shifts during the 13-week assignment)
• Locals Accepted: Yes
• Blocked Scheduling: Considered by unit manager
• Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Unit manager approval required

Certifications & Licensure Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

Preferred Skills:

• EP (Electrophysiology) experience preferred

• Xper
• Cerner (Electronic Health Record system)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID (passport alone not accepted)
• Background checks including 7-year history, SSN trace, criminal, sex offender, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG within 30 days of start
• Fingerprinting required for certain specialties including Cath Lab Tech
• Employment application with 3 years of work history and documented gaps
• Two professional references (one from most recent employer)
• Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to perform essential job functions
• Drug testing (10 panel) within 30 days of start and updated annually
• Immunizations and titers required or declinations accepted with facility-specific forms:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Influenza vaccine or declination (mask required if declined)
  • COVID vaccine or declination
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Fit mask (N95) required within 1 year and updated annually; PAPR only in limited cases
• Security and confidentiality agreements signed prior to start
• Facility-specific job description form completion required

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• Floating to outpatient cath lab procedures is expected.
• No current on-call requirement, but may be reinstated in the future.
• Scrubs are provided on-site.
• Candidates must adhere to all quality and patient safety standards including medication administration protocols.

This position is suitable for Cath Lab Techs with at least 2 years of experience, who hold the required certifications and are comfortable with a 4x10 schedule in a Level I Trauma teaching hospital setting. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
