Job Description

• MedSurg RN on Oncology Floor
• Start date approximately 3 weeks from offer
• Minimal to no Return to Office (RTO) – must be included on submission
• Oncology experience highly preferred
• EMR systems used: Cerner & Soarian
• Royal Blue scrubs required (not provided)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year recent MedSurg experience
• Experience with higher patient ratios (1:6 or 1:7) required
• Previous travel experience preferred (not required)

Required Certifications & Skills

• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Skills: Telemetry, IV Start

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government issued photo ID (color copy required)
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation
• Residency Declaration Form (if working on a compact license)
• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated for renewals
• Proof of education (Diploma or Transcript accepted)
• Fingerprinting per Georgia requirements (GCHEXS) with a 30-day grace period for results
• 3rd party education verification required
• Annual OSHA, HIPAA & Joint Commission training attestation or testing
• Primary source verification of state license
• NURSYS verification for RNs
• Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency
• Facility-specific HealthStream modules must be completed prior to start
• Photo for badge (passport-style, shoulders up, no selfies) required within 24 hours of signing
• Facility-specific forms (IS115, IS119) must be completed and signed (wet ink or DocuSign)
• Dress code review required
• Flu vaccine required during flu season unless approved medical/religious exemption is provided
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Fit test completed on site at no cost
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually
• TB testing: QGold or TSPOT within 30 days of start (no PPDs accepted)
• Immunizations or positive titers required for: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
• Flu seasonal vaccination/documentation required during flu season (9/3 - 3/31) with deadline for vaccination or exemption by November 21st
• Two recent supervisor/manager references verified within 12 months of start
• Performance and internal evaluations required if previously worked with the facility over 1 year

Additional Notes

• Local candidates within 30 miles will not be considered; local rate applies for 31-50 miles radius
• Candidate must be able to complete fingerprinting appointment promptly; out-of-state candidates must be willing/able to travel to Georgia for fingerprinting
• Facility assigns HealthStream modules and other onboarding requirements that must be completed before the first day

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with MedSurg experience, preferably with oncology exposure, who is comfortable with higher patient ratios and flexible scheduling. Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory. Compliance with extensive documentation, background checks, and immunization requirements is mandatory.
