Registered Nurse (ICU) Travel/Contract Position

Location: Kingwood, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM), weekdays, every other weekend, float
• Unit Profile: Average 0.2 patients per day
• Start Date: ASAP
• EMR System: CPSI

Required Certifications

• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Certification

Preferred Certification:

• CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse)

Required Skills

• Conscious sedation
• Telemetry
• Ventilator management

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Prior travel experience not required

Dress Code

• Scrubs not provided
• Recommended colors: wine and/or burgundy

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Candidates must submit the following prior to start:

• Candidate profile (work history)
• Specialty-specific skills checklist (updated annually)
• Minimum 2 clinical or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
• RN license verification
• COVID vaccine or declination documentation
• All required certifications on file (no pending certificates allowed)

Background & Health Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check (updated annually)
• E-Verify and other federal background screenings (updated every contract renewal)
• Education verification
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands (updated annually)
• Fit mask test within 1 year (updated annually)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (preferred within 10 years)
  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (updated annually)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Completion of Care Learning modules prior to start
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and safety acknowledgements
• Photo for badge required prior to clearance
• Compliance with dress code and parking guidelines

Additional Notes

• Candidates must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service
• ReadySet (RS) Contractor Form and surveys may be required depending on facility
• Cerner EMR training modules are not required for this facility
