Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Augusta, Georgia
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Job Summary

• Specialty: Registered Nurse
• Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
• Primary Work Setting: Operating Room (OR) with focus on OBGYN, some Robotics, some Urology
• Typical Census: 4 rooms, approximately 15 cases per day
• Unit Systems: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR
• Scrub Color: Provided by facility

Experience Requirements

• Minimum Specialty Experience: 2 years
• 1st time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Work Schedule & Requirements

• Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
• Weekends: Every other weekend
• Floating: Rare, but may float to Main OR if needed
• Call: Yes, 1 week per schedule period
• Holidays: Expected to work major holidays during assignment (details provided)

Compliance & Orientation

• Full compliance required to start on time; delays in compliance may result in a 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) hours depends on contract length (e.g., 14 hours for 14-week assignment)

Required Documentation & Screening

• Background Check: Must be completed within 30 days prior to start
• Education Verification: Required, can be pending at start with proof it is in process (due within 30 days post start)
• Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray: Within 12 months of start date
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; cannot start with results pending
• Flu Vaccination or Declination: Required during flu season
• References: 2 clinical references required
• Skills Checklist: Updated within 12 months
• Work History Verification: Verification of most recent employer required, can be pending at start with proof it is in process

Competency Exams

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required for RNs)
• Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates)
• Competency Exam (required for Nursing)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for certain specialties, including Tele, ER, ICU, etc.)

Additional Notes

• Candidate will undergo a clinical screen to determine clinical fit before final approval
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Candidate must review and sign facility-specific policies such as Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) online course required within a few months of hire (no re-certification required)
