Job Opportunity: Mammography Technologist (Travel/Contract)

Job Details

• Assignment duration: 16 weeks, must start end of March
• Work schedule: Every other Saturday 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM primary shift, with some other day shifts
• Shift types: Mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, Monday to Sunday, no block schedules
• Equipment: Hologic Mammography units, EPIC, Visage
• Distance requirement: Must live within 50 miles or less (straight line distance)
• Transportation: No public transportation available; reliable personal or rental vehicle required with all-season or snow tires (Nov-April)

Requirements

• Certification: ARRT (Mammography) certification required
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of mammography experience required
• EPIC Experience: Must have EPIC experience within the past 2 years (non-negotiable)
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA approved
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA approved
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) if applicable
  • State License verification within 30 days of start
  • National Tech Certification verification within 30 days of start
• Background Checks:

  • Comprehensive background check within 30 days of start covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • Vermont Crime Information Center (VCIC) check required for Vermont placements
  • Education verification as applicable
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • N95 Fit Test (updated annually)
  • Tdap vaccination within 10 years or titer
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (updated annually)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B series and titer or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Flu vaccination or exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or declination
  • Pneumonia vaccination or declination if assigned to NY facility
• Competencies:

  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as required
  • Color blind testing required
  • Skills checklist within 12 months
• History:

  • 2 professional references from assignments within last 3 years
  • Employment application required
  • Work history verification for last 2 years of clinical work
• Facility Specific:

  • Photo for badge (passport style, plain background) required 2 weeks prior to start
  • Auto insurance required if using personal or rental vehicle
  • Completion of EPIC and Cornerstone training modules prior to start
  • Completion of various facility-specific forms including abuse registry consent, emergency contact, and COVID questionnaire
  • Adherence to dress code and telephone usage policies

Additional Notes

• No block schedules allowed
• Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
• Public transportation is not accessible in the area; personal transportation is strongly recommended
