Position Details

• Specialty: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) / Operating Room Technician (ORT)
• Employment Type: Travel
• Location: Statesboro, Georgia
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days

  • Option 1: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
  • Option 2: 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
• Call Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 nights per week (1st and 2nd shift)
  • 1 weekend per 6 weeks

Experience & Qualifications

• Required Years of Experience: At least 2+ years as a CST
• Certification:

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
  • Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program (CAAHEP or equivalent)
• Specialty Experience:

  • Robotics
  • Orthopedics
  • General surgery
  • Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB-GYN)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room including sterile field setup
• Set up surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions
• Pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon during surgery
• Manage surgical equipment and sterile field simultaneously
• Perform counts of sponges and supplies to prevent retained foreign objects
• Scrub tech role involving surgical scrubbing and pulling supplies/equipment for cases
