Travel RN Opportunity - Dallas, Texas

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
Employment Type: Travel
Location: Dallas, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 4x10 shifts, 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Unit: Adult Day Surgery (22 beds, 41 staff)
Floating Areas: Preop, Post Op, PreAdmit Testing

Unit Information

Patient Ratios:
- Preop, PAT, and Holding: 1:1
- Post Op: 3:1
Typical Procedures: General Surgery, Gynecology, Orthopedic Scopes
Equipment/EMR: Meditech, IV Pumps
Staffing Example (Day Shift):
- Day Surgery: 1 Charge, 2-3 Preop RNs, 2-3 Post Op RNs, 1 PCT
- PreAdmit Testing: 1 Charge, 1 Chart RN, 1 Phone Call RN, 3-4 RNs
- OR Holding: 1 Charge, 2-3 RNs
- Day Surgery IR: 1 Charge, 1-2 RNs
Night Shift: Closed

Required Skills & Experience

Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty
Must Have:
- IV Starts
- Meditech experience
Preferred:
- Pediatric experience
- PreAdmit Testing experience
Personality Fit: Flexible, friendly, team player

Certifications & Licenses

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Registered Nurse License

Scheduling & Work Requirements

Self-scheduling with some flexibility by unit leadership
Must work 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays per schedule period
Must work during inclement weather
No weekends or on-call required
