Job Opportunity: MRI Technologist (Travel/Contract)

Location: Laurinburg, North Carolina

Position Details

• Shift: 4 days per week, 9-hour shifts (Monday-Thursday)
• Hours: 4:00 PM – 1:30 AM
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Requirements

• Certification: ARRT required
• Registry: Prefer MRI registry; will consider completion of an MRI program and registry-eligible candidates with associated experience
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of MRI experience required (highest stated requirement)
• Skills: Must be able to perform General and Breast MRI on a Siemens MRI Scanner
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)

Background Checks

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• Education verification or diploma/transcript for highest degree obtained

• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) for Labor and Delivery RNs
• Tech Certification Verification (for allied professionals)
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication)
• State License Verification (Primary Source)
• NURSYS Verification (for RNs)
• NIH Stroke Certification (if applicable)

Competency Exams

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (updated annually)
• Competency Exam (updated annually)
• Core Parts I, II, III (for subcontractors)

Facility Specific Documents

• New Hire Clinical Packet (to be completed and brought to orientation)
• Orientation Packet (post-test completion required prior to start)
• Temporary Associate Profile (to be completed prior to start)
• Flu Medical or Religious Exemption Forms (if applicable)

Health Documents

• Physical Exam (within last 12 months)
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (within 1 year, updated annually)
• Immunizations or Titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• 9 Panel Drug Screen (within 1 year of start)
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved exemption (required for candidates starting 10/1 or later)
• COVID-19 Vaccine or approved Medical/Religious exemption

References & History

• 2 professional references required for Travel positions (within 2 years)
• Performance evaluations required if worked over 1 year with the agency

Additional Notes

• Candidates within a 50-mile radius may be considered local with adjusted terms

This position is ideal for MRI Technologists with at least 1 year of experience, ARRT certification, and the ability to operate Siemens MRI scanners, seeking a 13-week travel contract in North Carolina with a Monday-Thursday evening shift schedule.
