Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist

Location: Ashtabula, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 23 weeks (non-negotiable)

Work Schedule

• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 8 hours each (3p-11:30p)
• Every other weekend required, with days off around the weekend worked
• No on-call required

Experience & Licensure Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty
• Ohio state license required prior to start
• Must have ARRT(R) certification and AHA BLS certification at time of submission

Job Responsibilities

• Perform Radiology exams and Fluoroscopic procedures on patients of all ages
• Maintain patient safety throughout procedures

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA only (Instructor or Provider); RQI acceptable
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): AHA only (Instructor or Provider); RQI acceptable
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit or specialty (e.g., PALS, NRP) but are not mandatory for this role

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Background check required prior to start, including FCRA compliant 7-year search
• Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 12 months required and must be updated annually
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, including assessment of ability to perform essential job functions
• Drug screening (standard 10-panel) within 12 months, updated annually
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 6-12 months depending on role)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations or positive titers
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or titer
  • Varicella vaccination or titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption

Additional Requirements

• Must carry a valid government-issued photo ID while on assignment
• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start
• References: 2 professional references within 1 year of start from a manager, supervisor, or charge nurse
• Employment application must include 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in an acute care setting similar to the assignment
• Unit-specific competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency exams required and must be updated annually
• Annual acknowledgment of orientation safety manual
