Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ER RN) - South Carolina

Location

Position Details

  • Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM)

Experience & Licensure Requirements

  • Required Years of Experience: 2 years in specialty

    • ACLS (American Heart Association)

Important Seasonal Note

  • Hurricane Season (June - November): All employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during this period. Travelers should avoid confirming new or extension assignments during hurricane season if this is a concern.

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Work Eligibility: Completed and accurate I-9 form required
  • Identification: Copy of Driver's License/State ID and Social Security Card required
  • Background Checks:
    • Annual background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
    • SSN Trace, Statewide, National Criminal, Sex Offender Registry, FACIS 3, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
  • Education Verification: Required (diploma or transcripts accepted as placeholder)
  • Licensure Verification:
    • Primary source verification showing active, unencumbered license with no pending actions
    • NURSYS verification required for all RNs
  • Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
  • Physical Exam: Initial and annual physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands
  • Immunizations & Health Requirements:
    • Tdap within 10 years or declination form
    • Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold within 90 days) or chest x-ray if positive history
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or vaccination series required; boosters accepted if low titer
    • Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination required
    • Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season (Aug 1 - Apr 30); medical/religious exemptions accepted but no declinations
    • COVID-19 Vaccines: Not required but highly preferred; vaccination records must be uploaded or declination form completed
  • Respirator Clearance: Annual medical clearance required for patient-facing roles (RespSafety questionnaire)
  • Competency Exams: Medication/pharmacology and general competency exams required; pediatric OR competency preferred if applicable
  • Color Blind Testing: Required prior to start
  • References: Proof of 2 clinical references required
  • Employment History: Verification of last 3 clinical employers required

Orientation & Facility Specifics
