Travel RN Opportunity - North Carolina (Rutherfordton)

Position Overview

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Psych RN - direct patient care)
• Employment Type: Travel
• Facility: 143-bed acute care facility offering a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services including Emergency Services, Heart and Vascular, Imaging, Surgical Services, and Women's Services.
• Location: Rutherfordton, North Carolina

Job Responsibilities

• Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Document patient care provided.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care including transfers, discharge, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
• Evaluate and provide patient/family education tailored to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current RN license to practice in North Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI) certification required.
• Experience: 2 years of experience in the specialty (Psych RN).
• Prior travel experience: Not required.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks
