Job Opportunity: RN Medical / Surgical / Telemetry

Location: Barberton, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

• Experience:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry nursing.
  • Epic electronic health record experience within the last year (must be on resume).
• Education:

  • Accredited nursing degree through ACEN or CCNE required.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA only, AHA RQI acceptable)
  • ACLS (AHA only, AHA RQI acceptable)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification through Apex, Health Stream, or AHA
• Licenses:

  • Valid nursing license (Nursys verification required within 30 days of start)
• Health & Compliance:

  • Fit Test for N95 masks (3M 1870+ N95, Medline Cone Small, 3M 1860 Reg & Small ONLY) updated annually
  • Pre-employment physical within one year of start, including assessment of ability to perform essential job functions
  • Immunizations and health requirements:

    • COVID-19 vaccine (fully vaccinated required; exemptions reviewed case-by-case)
    • MMR (titer or 2 adult vaccines; no declinations accepted)
    • Hepatitis B (titer or complete vaccine series; signed declinations accepted)
    • Influenza vaccine (required October-April; medical/religious exemptions require approval)
    • 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with specific timing requirements; no declinations accepted
    • Varicella (titer or 2 adult vaccines; no declinations accepted)
    • Tdap within 10 years (optional)
    • Annual TB questionnaire (Summa form required)
    • If positive PPD, negative chest X-ray within 1 year of start required
• Testing & Competency:

  • Unit-specific competency exam (passing score required, updated annually)
  • Unit-specific skills checklist (updated annually)
  • EKG and Telemetry exams (passing score 80%+, updated annually)
  • Core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics (updated annually)
• Background & Screening:

  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually
  • Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search plus SSN trace, counties, statewide, nationwide, OFAC, FACIS Level 3) within 90 days of start
  • OIG search within 90 days of start
  • EPLS search within 90 days of start
  • Education verification by third party
  • Social Security card or number required
• Additional:

  • RN Submission Packet checklist must be completed and included with submission
  • Return to Office (RTO) days limited to 7 days maximum; candidates exceeding this will be rejected
  • No block-scheduling requests accepted

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• Candidates must be able to provide all required documentation and certifications at submission or onboarding as specified.
• This is a long-term assignment with a contract length of approximately 13 weeks.
