Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Belleville, Illinois

Job Details

  • Shift: Nights
  • Start Date: Biweekly starts, 3-4 weeks per compliance tier
  • Patient Ratios: 1:3
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Guaranteed Hours:
    • 36 hours/week for 3-12 hour shifts
    • 48 hours/week for 4-12 hour shifts
  • Floating: May float within scope between Belleville, East, and inpatient floors as needed
  • Block Schedule: Not accommodated
  • Local Radius Rule: 75 miles
  • Pending License: Not accepted
  • Return to Office Restrictions: 7 days within 13-week contract
  • On-call: Not required
  • First-timers: Accepted

Experience Requirements

  • Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty required

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • Insertion of central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes
  • Post cardiac arrest hypothermia care

  • Care for sexual assault victims
  • Management of mental health patients boarding until placement

  • Illinois fingerprinting required for long-term care or rehab float assignments
  • Education verification of highest nursing degree required

  • Physical exam within 1 year
  • Fit mask test (annual renewal required)
  • Tdap vaccine or declination (expires every 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray (2 negative PPDs or T-Spot/Q-Gold within 1 year)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination as applicable
  • Drug testing within 1 year, must include specific panels and be valid throughout assignment
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (09/30 - 04/01)
