Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics - Travel/Contract
Location: Conyers, Georgia
Contract Length: 12 weeks (interpreted from contract_length value)

Unit Details
- CRT not accepted.
- Respiratory Care Services include evaluation and treatment of cardiopulmonary function and impairments.
- Respiratory Care Practitioners attend all high-risk C-sections and deliveries to manage neonate airways per Neonatal Protocol.
- Responsible for airway management and ventilatory support during resuscitations.
- Ventilatory care provided in Emergency Department, ICU/CCU, PACU, and Level III nursery.
- All care under supervision of a licensed physician.
- Patient care decisions based on assessment data and diagnostic analysis.
Schedule & Work Expectations
- Weekend: Every other weekend.
- Call: None.
- Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed.
- Holidays: If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, traveler expected to work it; if 2 holidays, work both; if 3 holidays, work 2 of them.
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required.
- Unit accepts first-time travelers (no prior travel experience required).
Compliance & Orientation
- Full compliance required to start on time.
- Non-compliance results in a 2-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
- Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment).
Certifications & Licenses Required
- State License: Must be licensed by the State of Georgia (RRTs & CRTs).
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for RRTs in critical care areas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support): Required.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required if working in pediatric areas.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): Required.
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring): Online course required within a few months of hire.
- Tech Cert Verification: Allied annual license verification within 30 days prior to start.
- NURSYS Verification: Annual verification for RN, LPN/LVN, AP within 30 days prior to start.
- NIH Stroke Certification: May be required depending on specialty.
Competency Exams
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required for RNs and LVNs).
- Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates).
- Competency Exam (required for Nursing and Allied by Aya).
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for Tele, MS/Tele, IMCU, ER, Cardiac step-down, ICU, PCU).
Health & Background Requirements
- Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start.
- TB Testing: Negative PPD, QGold, or TSpot within 12 months; TB Questionnaire required annually.
- Immunizations:
- Rubeola (Measles): 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer.
- Mumps: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer.
- Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer.
- Hepatitis B: Series, antibody titer, or signed declination.
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer.
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; cannot start with results pending.
- Flu Vaccination: Required or declination during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31).
Additional Requirements
- Background check required within 30 days of start.
- Education verification required; diplomas required for RRTs.
- References: 2 clinical references required.
- Skills checklist within 12 months, updated annually.
- Work history verification of most recent employer required (can be pending at start with proof).
Notes
- Locals accepted at the same rate.
- Clinical screening required within 48 hours after candidate confirmation.
- Maximum Return to Orientation (RTO) time: 7 days.
- Floating may be required within the facility and scope of practice.
This position is suitable for respiratory care practitioners with at least 2 years of experience, including first-time travelers, who are licensed in Georgia and meet the certification and health requirements listed above.
