Facility & Community Overview

• Serves a large, culturally rich area including Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute tribes.
• Hospital bed capacity: 73
• Provides comprehensive inpatient/outpatient emergency services, dental, ophthalmology, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery, and urological procedures.
• Approximately 49% of surgeries are outpatient/ambulatory.
• Diverse staff including various medical and dental specialists and nursing roles.

Job Description

• Perform a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge.
• Ability to work independently following physician orders, standards of care, nursing policies, and hospital policies.
• Provide nursing support to individuals of all ages and their families.

Licensure

• RN license from any state is acceptable (Arizona state license not required).

Certifications Required (Must Maintain Throughout Employment)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - within 1 year of hire
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) - within 1 year of hire
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) - within 1 year of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - within 6 months of hire
• Emergency Severity Index Level 5 - within 3 months of hire
• Patient Sitter Competency Training - upon hire

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (specialty years of experience)

Additional Information

• Orientation occurs every 2 weeks.
• COVID & Flu vaccination exemptions may be accepted after submitting a declination form.
• Limited housing options available: shared housing units at $600/month, no family or pets allowed.
• Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start.
