Shift: 4x12 hour night shifts
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Location Requirement: Must live more than 75 miles from the facility (no locals accepted)

Required Licenses and Certifications
- New York RN License (must have in hand, no exceptions)
- Chemo Certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA provider/instructor/RQI accepted
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA provider/instructor/RQI accepted
- Proficiency in EPIC charting system
Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse in MS/Telemetry

- Hematology/Oncology Unit: 36 beds, fast-paced, high acuity, includes chemotherapy patients, bone marrow transplant program development, opportunity for cross-training in MICU
- Patient population includes those actively receiving chemotherapy, recovering counts, admitted with chemo side effects, and medical patients with underlying cancer diagnoses
Patient Ratios
- Expected to manage a patient ratio between 1:5 and 1:7

Required Background and Compliance Checks
- Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
- 7-year criminal background check (including felony checks) within 3 months of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 3 months of start, run monthly
- Education verification from primary source (no hard copy degrees)
- Foreign equivalency evaluation if applicable
- Transcript/Diploma if education verification not on file
- NURSYS verification for RN license within 30 days of start
- Primary source verification of state license within 30 days of start
Health and Immunization Requirements (Must be completed within 5 days of contract signing)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, updated annually (specific mask types accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- TB questionnaire (acceptable in lieu of annual TB test renewal)
- Immunizations or titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (surface antibody positive titer, completed series, or declination)
- Varicella
- Drug screening within 30 days of start (if booked within 30 days)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination (required during flu season)
- Snellen eye exam within 1 year of start
- COVID vaccination copy preferred but not required
Additional Requirements
- Photo for badge (passport-style with solid background)
- Completion of orientation safety manual acknowledgement
- Competency exams as required by profession/specialty (medication test/pharmacology, color blindness, etc.)
- References (2 within 3 years) required for Aya candidates only
- Employment application and work history verification required
Notes
- Locals are not accepted; candidate must live more than 75 miles away from the facility
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Cross-training opportunities available in MICU for Hematology/Oncology staff
