Job Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) in PCU/Telemetry
• Required Certifications:

  • ACLS (AHA only, AHA RQI acceptable)
  • BLS (AHA only, AHA RQI acceptable)
• Experience:

  • Must have experience with Epic within the last year
• Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• Additional Requirements:

  • Float required
  • Resume must include Epic experience within the last year
  • Return to Office (RTO) requests limited to a maximum of 7 days; no block-scheduling requests accepted
  • Solid black scrubs required

Required Credentials & Compliance (Must be current or updated as specified)

• Ohio FBI and BCI Fingerprint Attestations (within 12 months of start)
• Nursing license verification (Nursys) within 30 days of start
• Primary source verification of license/certification
• Fit Test for N95 masks (3M 1870+ N95, Medline Cone Small, 3M 1860 Reg & Small ONLY) within 1 year, updated annually
• Pre-employment physical with health statement within 1 year
• Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver's License or State ID)
• Unit-specific competency exam and skills checklist within 1 year, updated annually
• Telemetry and EKG exams with passing score (80% or higher) within 1 year
• Core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics within 90 days, updated annually
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • COVID-19 vaccine (fully vaccinated required; exemptions case-by-case)
  • MMR (titer or 2 adult vaccines; no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B (titer or complete vaccine series; signed declinations accepted)
  • Influenza vaccine (required October-April; exemptions require approval)
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) with specific timing requirements; no declinations accepted
  • Varicella (titer or 2 adult vaccines; no declinations accepted)
  • Annual TB questionnaire (Summa form)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search plus additional checks) within 90 days
• OIG, EPLS, and other federal exclusion checks within 90 days
• Third-party education verification
• Social Security Card or SSN confirmation

Notes

• Candidates can start with fingerprint results pending but must upload results promptly
• Travelers continuously on assignment with no breaks are not required to update physical annually
• Must complete RN Submission Packet checklist fully and include signatures from candidate and agency
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
