Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Midland, Texas
Contract Length: 16 weeks

Job Description

• Minimum contract length: 13 weeks
• RN will rotate through:

  • Triage
  • Antepartum
  • Labor
  • Circulate
  • Transition (no post-partum)
• Required certifications: NIHSS, BLS, ACLS, NRP

Required Experience

• Specialty: Registered Nurse

• State License Verification: Must be valid in Texas and verified within 30 days of start
• NURSYS Verification: Required within 30 days of start for RN license
• Other certifications may be required as applicable (e.g., CHEMO, ENPC)

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 10-year Criminal Background Check required within 30 days of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal History Search required within 30 days prior to start
• Texas Employee Misconduct Registry and Employability Status Checks required within 30 days prior to start
• Education verification and transcript/diploma required for Labor & Delivery and Cath Lab roles
• Confidentiality and Security Agreement, Drug Screening Consent, TB Questionnaire, and Compliance Checklist must be reviewed and signed prior to start

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical Exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing)
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months of start
• Immunizations required (or positive titers/documentation):

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
• Flu vaccination or agency declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• N95 Fit Mask test within 1 year of start (facility will not accept PAPR)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; additional onsite drug screen upon arrival

Competency Requirements

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
• Competency Exam and Age Specific Competency Exam required within 1 year of start

• Candidate must complete all facility-specific documents and orientation prior to start
• Background checks and certifications must be current and compliant with facility and state requirements
• This is a travel/contract position with rotation through multiple nursing areas, excluding post-partum
