Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist

Location: Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

Job Description

• Perform diagnostic x-ray and fluoroscopy exams
• Work primarily on Saturdays and Sundays, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Flexibility to start as early as 5:00 AM or stay later as needed
• Serve ER, outpatient, and inpatient departments

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for all clinical staff including techs; must be AHA certified

Background Checks & Compliance

• EPLS/GSA/SAM check upon hire
• HHS/OIG check upon hire
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprint clearance within 90 days of start (required for all except remote workers outside PA)
• Education verification for highest level of education relative to specialty
• State-specific searches including Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search, PATCH, and Medicheck within required timeframes

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 2 months of start
• Fit test for respirator use (if applicable)
• TDAP vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray as per guidelines
• Required immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (declinations not accepted)
  • Varicella
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel or 9-panel (without THC) within 60 days of start
• COVID-19 vaccination or signed declination with facility-specific form
• Seasonal flu vaccination required unless declination accepted under specific conditions

Competency Exams

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (for RNs)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (for RNs and LVNs, where applicable)
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) for RNs and LVNs except certain specialties

Documentation & History

• Minimum of 2 professional references from employment within 12 months of start
• Complete employment application with 7 years of work history and explanations for gaps over 90 days
• Work history verification required for non-clinical candidates
• Signed acknowledgment of orientation safety manual and pass/fail testing where applicable

Additional Notes

• Candidate must be prepared for weekend shifts with possible early start times
• All certifications and background checks must be current and verifiable prior to start
• Compliance with all state and facility-specific requirements is mandatory
