Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Springfield, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Role: X-Ray Tech
• Shift: 5x8 Evenings (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM)
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty (X-Ray Tech / OR imaging)
• First-timers Accepted: Yes
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend and holidays as needed
• On-call: Yes, required as needed
• Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
• Block Schedule: Possible, discuss with manager
• Locals Accepted: Yes, no radius restrictions
• License: Active Illinois state license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Return to Office Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days

Required Certifications

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Illinois State License

• X-Ray Skills:

  • Abdomen: Decubitus, Supine (KUB), Upright
  • Chest and Thorax: AP, Lateral Decubitus, Routine, Upper Airway (soft tissue neck)
  • Head: Facial bones, Orbits, Paranasal sinuses, Skull, Temporomandibular joints
  • Lower Extremity: Ankle, Femur, Foot, Knee, Tibia-Fibula
  • Mobile/Surgical: C-Arm Procedure, Portable abdomen, Portable Chest
  • Spine and Pelvis: Cervical Spine, Hip, Lumbar Spine, Pelvis, Sacrum/Coccyx, Thoracic Spine
  • Upper Extremity: Clavicle, Elbow, Forearm, Hand, Scapula, Shoulder, Trauma shoulder or Humerus (Scapular Y, Transthoracic Axial), Wrist
• Equipment Experience: O-ARM
• Preferred Experience: Cerner charting system, Level I Trauma experience

This position is suitable for X-Ray Technologists with at least 1 year of experience, who hold the required certifications and an active Illinois license, and who are comfortable working evenings with on-call and weekend responsibilities in a Level I trauma acute care hospital setting.
