Description

Job Opportunity: Rad Tech/CVT

Location: Fargo, North Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Required Experience & Certifications

  • Minimum 2 years recent experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) or Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) in scrubbing cardiac and vascular procedures
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (AHA) required
    • RCIS, RCES, or ARRT (R) required
    • If ARRT certified, must obtain NDMIRT prior to start
  • Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Job Responsibilities

  • Scrub tech for:
    • Cardiac angiograms/interventions
    • Neuro angiograms/interventions
    • Vascular and peripheral vascular angiograms/interventions
    • Pacemaker implants and device cases
  • Possible involvement in electrophysiology (EP) and structural heart procedures based on candidate experience
  • Procedures include:
    1. Left/right heart catheterizations and PCI (including rotablader, shockwave)
    2. Pericardiocentesis
    3. Intra-aortic balloon pump and Impella insertion/removal
    4. Peripheral vascular procedures
    5. Electrophysiology device insertion/removal (Pacemakers, ICDs, loop recorders)
    6. PFO/ASD closure
    7. Electrophysiology ablations (preferred)
  • Proficient sterile technique and knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles, including positioning, image processing, quality control, and radiation protection

Equipment & Systems

  • EPIC, CUPID, GE MAC Lab/Cardio Lab reporting systems

Schedule & Work Environment

  • 4-10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday
  • Call rotation every 3rd to 4th weekend
  • One night of call per week as part of a 4-person call team (no solo call)
  • No floating to other units
  • Unit has 8 cath lab rooms and 1 procedure room

Orientation & Training

  • Orientation tailored to candidate’s experience level
  • 1-2 days with assigned mentor

Additional Notes

  • Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
  • Scrub color provided: Ceil Blue
  • Candidates living within 80 miles may have adjusted rates (not included here)
  • Candidates who have previously worked for this health system must have ended employment at least 6 months prior to submission
