Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (Travel/Contract)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Position Details

• Accepting CRT or RRT credentials
• Must have 2 years of experience as an RRT (higher experience requirement confirmed)
• Must hold an Ohio RRT license at time of submission
• NBRC and BLS certifications required and must be current at time of submission
• Work schedule: 8 or 12 week contracts, weekends as needed, may float within respiratory facilities
• Locals accepted at the same rate

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Ohio RRT License (mandatory)
• NBRC Certification (for CRT and RRT candidates)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA only; AHA RQI certs acceptable but non-RQI preferred
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for RRTs working in Emergency Department
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required for RRT-NICU (pediatric specialty)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required for RRT-NICU

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RRT
• At least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting in a similar area to the assignment required in work history
• No explicit prior travel experience required

Compliance & Background Checks

• Criminal background check required prior to start; must be updated if break in service exceeds 2 months
• FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start; must be completed before onboarding
• Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Transcript/Diploma verification required
• I9/E-Verify attestation required

Health & Safety Requirements

• Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to safely perform job functions
• Fit mask test within 12 months of start; must be updated annually (specific approved mask types required)
• Negative 2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold TB test/T-Spot within 6 months of start; annual renewal required
• Chest X-ray required if history of positive TB test, with physician clearance
• TB questionnaire if history of past positive TB
• Immunization or titer proof required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (or signed declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; annual renewal required
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31); no declinations accepted

Additional Requirements

• Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start; must be updated annually
• Unit-specific skills checklist required; must be updated annually
• Online training modules must be completed prior to start (approx. 4-5 hours) on a computer using Chrome browser
• Candidate must carry a valid government-issued photo ID while on assignment
• Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required

• All work history, including any previous positions at this healthcare system, must be included in the candidate profile
• Scheduling and time-off requests must be communicated during submission and interview
• Fingerprinting and badge pickup occur onsite after completion of required modules
• Candidates working with pediatric patients (RRT-NICU) have additional fingerprinting and certification requirements
